This is sad but.
On most of the war movies and dramas I usually laugh.
Or fall asleep.
I sleep during chick flicks

Movie that make me cry..... let me see... no movie make me cry before but Schindler's List certainly did the job. ( it was a sad movie ) another movie that i could cry, its either GodFather (can't remember 1,2,3 or whatever) or Lion King.

I cry during every Lord of the Rings movie.
Every time that lazy little f*** fordo doesn't die.
OMG LOOK AT ME I'VE GOT THE BURDEN OF THIS RING PLEASE SAM DO EVERYTHING FOR ME EVEN THOUGH I INSULT YOU AND CALL YOU A LIAR THEN TAKE ALL THE GLORY!
Frodo is a newb level 3 Sam is that leet level 20 rushing him through the game.

This is embarassing but I remember crying a lot after watching Best of the Best, a really old 80's straight to video tae kwon do flick:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0096913/
Up until that point, I had never seen a karate/kung-fu movie end like that and I was moved by the act of remorse and forgiveness at the end of that film. Thinking back, it's probably a very cheesy and manipulative movie, but at that point in time it really affected me.

Hmmm
I never really cried at movies ever since i was like 5 yrs old and I cried at ET (my parents laghed at me )
But some movies tha got me close to crying are:
The last Samurai
Man on the moon (cmon like the saddest ending ever!)
Slingblade (cant belive noone mentioned it)
I am Sam
Staar Wars EP 3 (the part where all the jedi dies )
Oh yeah, and Lord of the Rings SHOULD have ended with frodo dieng and Sam taking da ring and showing everyone how much a pimp he is.

Lmgdfao! Ha ha I totally love Sam. I love him more than Aragorn, Sean Astin's hawt (despite his extra 40 pounds in that movie).
I forgot Bicentennial Man and the music at the end of A I is gorgeous.
Anyone else here just get totally moved by the music in films? If Gladiator was soundless there's no WAY I would have cried I reckon. Even songs like the one at the end of the Carebears Movie II just gets to me, specially now my mum's left home. (Used to watch the movie as a kid while she'd do the housework.)
Also, if I pause a film or take a break from it, I rarely cry then. It's only when I let myself get really involved in it. If the connection's broken then it's not as intense. Anyone else get that?
Yes, and please refrain from being immature in this thread. I like to think we're all adults (long shot...)

Thunderbirds- Damn those mysterons!
Seriously a book is more likely to make me sad, not sure that i would actually shed tears on a movie or book but you never know. Ive cried a few times when i was a child on things such as the lord of the rings book (when boromir and gandalf died). But not a huge fan of crying anymore.

Truly, Madly, Deeply - the most heartfelt film about grief, letting go, and moving on, ever...I rented it years ago because it had Alan Rickman, but the lead actress is amazing.
Platoon -- when DaFoe's character is...er....left behind...
Basically, riveting emotionally charged, oft melodramtic and tragic moments.
Which doesn't include 'Nooooo' moments (that's not specific dig at SW:ep3, persay - there's tons of 'noooo' moments in film history and I dislike most of them heh)

Yes Glory and Platoon....forgot those two.....Glory especially

I've never really cried on a movie. Nothing actually comes out of my eyes, but sometimes I really do get pretty sad.
Although I think most are already listed..
The Shawshank Redemption
The Last Samurai
The Notebook (I would've never gone to see this in the movies, but hey, I was on a plane, okay? )
Saving Private Ryan
